I’M SURE THAT THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE DECISION TO CHARGE GEORGE ZIMMERMAN WITH SECOND DEGREE MURDER IN THE FEB 26TH 2012 SHOOTING DEATH OF 17 YEAR OLD TRAYVON MARTIN IN SANFORD FLA, HAS BROUGHT THE FAMILY , FRIENDS & SUPPORTERS SOME SENSE OF RELIEF.
THE JOURNEY FOR JUSTICE HAS JUST BEGUN…
A CHARGE IS BASICALLY AN ALLEGATION. REMEMBER ITS ALLEGED THAT YOU’RE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY, THOUGH SADLY IN OUR (MINORITY) SOCIETY, WE OFTEN KNOW IT TO BE OTHERWISE, BUT IT WOULD WORK WONDERS IN THIS CASE IF THAT WERE TO BE ZIMMERMAN’S REALITY. (MY BLOG, MY OPINION!)
ALTHOUGH ZIMMERMAN WAS CHARGED, HE COULD STILL BE ACQUITTED AT TRIAL, POSSIBLY PLEA TO A LESSER OFFENSE OR BE CONVICTED! (HOPE IS ALIVE!)
INITIALLY IT WAS STATED THAT THERE WASN’T ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO PROSECUTE ( COUGH,BS!!!).
LET’S SEE HOW THIS WILL PLAY OUT. WE’RE A LONG WAY FROM A CONVICTION..
THIS ISN’T ABOUT RACE FOR ME. ITS ABOUT JUSTICE. I DON’T WANT HIM CONVICTED JUST BECAUSE HE’S A RACIST PIG WHO KILLED A YOUNG BLACK MAN.
I WANT HIM CONVICTED BECAUSE HE’S A RACIST PIG
(MY OPINION) WHO MALICIOUSLY KILLED AN INNOCENT, UNARMED (EXCEPT FOR A BAG OF SKITTLES & AN ARIZONA ICED TEA & OF COURSE A MENACING HOODIE), YOUNG BLACK MAN, WHOM HE WAS ADVISED BY AUTHORITIES TO NOT FOLLOW.
HAD ZIMMERMAN NOT ENGAGED TRAYVON THIS TRAVESTY MORE THAN LIKELY WOULD HAVE BEEN AVERTED.
THE FACT THAT THE ENTIRE WORLD IS WATCHING CLOSELY IN MY OPINION IS WHY THE SECOND DEGREE MURDER CHARGES WERE EVENTUALLY HANDED DOWN.
UNSURE AS TO THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MURDER AND MANSLAUGHTER?
THIS EXCERPT FROM THE HUFFINGTON POST WILL EXPLAIN FURTHER:
“The murder charge indicates prosecutors plan to prove Zimmerman shot Martin with malice, though without premeditation. A manslaughter charge would have required prosecutors to prove only that Zimmerman acted unlawfully and with criminal negligence in shooting the teen.
“The difference between murder and manslaughter is your mental state,” said Mark Geragos, a Los Angeles defense attorney, who is not connected to the case. “To elevate it to murder, you have to have the element of malice.”

Racism is alive and well in the good old US of A!
Yes I said it.
If that were merely an opinion, George Zimmerman would have already been arrested and charged with the senseless murder of the innocent, unarmed teenager, Tayvon Martin, whom he shot dead in Sanford FL, on 2/26/12.
But alas he has not been. Its sad that people are so biased that they judge another by their skin color, even in these modern times.
The mere inference that the teenager didn’t belong in a gated community is reprehensible. Have people of african descent not made innumerable strides and accomplished major feats to be treated as fairly as their caucasian counterparts?
Need I remind you the the President of the United States of America is African American? Or had you not noticed?
Trayvon Martin’s presence in a gated community, should not have evoked suspicions in anyone’s mind, except that of someone who was clearly biased against someone of other race, who obviously didn’t believe that that person was entitled to be in such an affluent community.
Audio has surface of the 911 call Zimmerman made prior to the shooting, when asked by the dispatcher if he was following the “suspect” he stated that he was, he was advised not to, yet he did.
During the call Zimmerman is heard repeatedly making comments about, the suspect( Martin) ”being up to no good, being on drugs, acting suspiciously” etc, he is even heard on the call referring to Martin as a “F**King Coon”.

Yet so many are quick to say this wasn’t racially motivated? Then why use a racial slur?
I’ve read commentary about that fact that he was wearing a hoodie, I wasn’t aware that that was strictly a ” black thing.”
Hoodies are sold by major retailers around the world, even in non urban areas.
Who would come up with such an asinine theory?
Should everyone who owns a hoodie now be in fear of losing their lives because of some over zealous vigilante crusader?
I am anxious to see what the decision of the grand jury is going to be, when they convene on April 10th 2012.
The FBI as well as the US Department of Justice will also be conducting their own investigations, so hopefully George Zimmerman indicted.
My heart goes out to the family & Friends & everyone affected by this senseless act of violence.

It’s okay to be different.
Diversity is what makes the world go around.
We come in a variety of colors, shapes & sizes.
I don’t look like everyone, nor do I sound and or think like everyone else.
It took a while for me to be comfortable enough to be who I am.
I tried to dress, talk & act like my friends when I was younger.
I was very unhappy. I’d be out at the Mall, reading a book.
Life became much simpler when I realized that no matter how hard I tried, I would always stand out.
Once I became comfortable in my own skin, I realized that others were trying to be like me!
I like reading books, painting, writing & photography.
None of my friends were into that at the time, I was able to introduce them to something new.
We began embracing each other’s differences & the exposure to new and exciting hobbies and ideas.
Most of my friends are loud & boisterous, believe it or not I was the reserved one!
Now I go with the flow though for the most part I’m very reserved.
I’m silly & love to laugh, I’m at times very sensitive but also tougher than you could ever fathom.
But the biggest difference between my friends and I is that I’m bipolar.
I’m often withdrawn and in my own little world.
But that’s okay. I’m a celeb here lol.
The bottom line is don’t take yourself too seriously.
Learn to life, laugh & love…..
