Proper Stretching Techniques


As the New Year began, many people resolved to get into shape, eat better, cut out bad habits etc.

While for some it’s easier said than done, for those that can stick to their resolve, here are a few tips to help you along…

Before beginning any workout regimen, consult with your healthcare provider, especially if you have any pre existing conditions that may adversely affect you.

Once you get the green light, it is important to not undertake too great of a challenge all at once.
Start slowly and work your way up to a more rigorous routine.

The warm up is just as important as the work out.
Stretching your muscles in preparation for the work out is key.

You wouldn’t drive your car in the winter without first warming it up, neither should you work out without first stretching.
