Cyber bullying the POTUS’ Kids.

Cyber bullying is at an all-time high. Especially when someone, namely an adult, unleashes a barrage of disparaging comments toward the POTUS’ Children.
Not just any nobody for that matter,
Elizabeth Lauten, the communications director for U.S. Rep. Stephen Fincher (R-Tenn.).

Being in Communications myself, one must be versed in the rules of engagement, policies and protocols, especially in Social Media postings.

Well maybe sensitivity training, tact, couth or hell maybe even just plain ole’ common sense for that matter, should also be included in the list of things you ought to know.

For any reasonable adult to think that it is okay to cyber bully innocent children, because evidently she has some deep seeded contempt for their parents, is unconscionable.

This is a Public Relations nightmare! Where is Olivia Pope When you need her? Wait! She’s part of the #BlackTwitterMafia 👊👊👊👊👊

Sasha and Malia Obama are normal teenaged girls, with the exception of being the daughters of THE President of the United States of America.
So the fact that they were less than thrilled to sit through the Presidential pardoning of Turkeys and display their boredom and or displeasure was actually quite refreshing to me.

They’re kids. It’s what they do. There was nothing in their demeanor nor expression that warranted the rant of Elizabeth Lauten.
It’s too long and drawn out to repeat but I’ll attach the screenshot of her rant.

The entire debacle can be read at:

The #BlackTwitter #BlackTwitterMafia wasted no time in rising to the occasion to defend the first daughters.
Involving children in any politically motivated public tirade is a no no, as Elizabeth Lauten quickly discovered as her commentary set Twitter ablaze, she became a trending topic #ElizabethLauten, timelines and her Twitter mentions @DCGopGirl expressed the public’s displeasure.

I am yet to witness or hear of any allegations of improprieties on the part of Sasha or Malia Obama, so for Elizabeth Lauten to advise the to “dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar”, leaves me totally befuddled.

After the firestorm that ensued, Elizabeth Lauten issued this ( in my opinion, facetious ) statement: “I reacted to an article and quickly judged the two young ladies in a way that I would never have wanted to be judged myself as a teenager. After many hours of prayer, talking to my parents and re-reading my words online, I can see more clearly how hurtful my words were. Please know that these judgmental feelings truly have no (sic) pace in my heart. Furthermore, I’d like to apologize to all of those who I have hurt and offended with my words, and pledge to learn and grow (and I assure you I have) from this experience.”

For someone with the credentials that she possesses, this was definitely a low point in her career. Elizabeth needs to practice what she preaches. Think twice and act once. Think before you type! You, my dear Elizabeth Lauten, are an uncouth excuse for a human being.
Quit being a cyber bully. There are laws against that.

I am a Proud Member of the #BlackTwitterMafia.

See something, Say something or Not?!

When is it appropriate to see something & say something?
When is it permissible?
When is it ok to not mind your business?

That’s the question at the forefront of my mind today…

We’ve all heard about how it’s advisable to mind your business; to not cross certain boundaries when it comes to infringing on the rights of privacy due to others.

I’m trying to ascertain when it would be acceptable to get involved in a situation that has nothing to do with you personally, but everything to do with you morally?!

Last night, on a rare night out with the girls, I witnessed someone slip something into an unsuspecting female’s drink.

They were dancing with her shortly prior to the incident and she seemed receptive to the frisky advances that they were engaging in on the dance floor.

They parted ways after about 10 minutes of dirty dancing. She danced with several other suitors before the one guy approached her from behind and dropped something into her drink which she was holding by the rim, by her side, before walking away.

I was standing behind her and saw everything. I had to think fast. I reacted.

I “accidentally”, purposely bumped into her, her drink fell.
Mission accomplished.
The pill had almost completely dissolved.

Naturally she was pissed off. I apologized. She was belligerent.
I gave her $10 to buy herself another drink.

She accepted it before advising me to “watch where the hell I was going.”
I advised her to “pay attention to her drink as someone had just dropped something in it.”

Needless to say she wasn’t in the right frame of mind to be receptive to the fact that she had been saved from God alone knows what, danger.

I posted a status on Facebook about being careful in the bars & clubs, because even though she didn’t sit her drink down unattended, the position that she had it in, she couldn’t see it.

I got many comments. From kudos, to I destroyed evidence, to why did that concern me. So that made me think.
When is it okay to see something, say something?!

I’m going to send a message to John Quinones @JohnQABC of ABC’s What would you do.
He’s covered this topic before just on a different scenario.
I’d like to hear your take on this…

Please be careful. We are each other’s keepers…

Was I right to react?

Deelishis or Nah?

Mmmmmmm I don’t quite know what to make of this…

Allegations of improprieties have been swirling around former Flavor of Love Contestant Deelishis, the 36 year old, born Chandra Davis, also known as London Charles is accused of having a relationship with a minor, presumably for almost a year and a half!

Earlier this year she attended his Prom with him! He had been posting personal pics of himself, along with Deelishis and her children & friends.

Say it ain’t so!

Footage has surfaced of Singer Solange Knowles, attacking her brother in law, Hip hop Mogul Jay-Z, in an elevator as her Megastar sister Beyoncé looks on.

The incident took place at an after party for the Met Gala, which took place on 5/5/14, at the Standard Hotel in NYC.

The surveillance footage was published with no audio, but Solange could clearly be seen confronting Jay-Z then launching an assault upon him. A rather large man restrained Solange and she is shown furiously fighting and trying to break his hold and lunging for Jay-Z a few times.

At one point Solange landed a kick and Jay-Z grabbed ahold of her foot, he could be seen verbalizing words, but made no attempt to retaliate.

Beyoncé steps in between them but is in her husband’s corner.

The bodyguard can be seen hitting the emergency stop button, presumably to keep the doors from opening whilst the commotion was ensuing.

Now it’s my opinion that there is audio, I believe that it’s of an inflammatory nature and so it was removed. Any establishment of prestige would not be caught without surveillance that included audio.

TMZ broke the story a few hours ago.
So my guess is that they also have the audio that went along with the video.

Pictures were posted of them exiting the elevator, Solange looks furious, as Queen Bey, ever so poised looks, unshaken, Jay-Z has an uneasy look.
